Website Changes

I've made some changes to the website. In addition to creating a page for Arvanion's Gift, I altered the structure for the books of The Jada-Drau. All the pages are still there, including the map and Character Guide, you just have to hover over The Jada-Drau Trilogy page in the list and the others will become visible, The Jada-Drau page first, then hover over that one to see the others.

I'm looking forward to the release of Arvanion's Gift in November and plan to attend some market...

Tyrsa's Choice!

Posted by Sandie on March 30, 2012 at 6:55 PM Comments comments (0)

It's almost here! Tyrsa's Choice will be released Easter Weekend, April 7th! We'll see how long it takes to show up at Amazon. Last time it was a week. Unfortunately, it takes time for the books to reach me here in Duncan, so I won't be at the Farmer's Market that day. They should be here in time for the next one, Saturday April 14th and I'll make sure I'm there!

Ebook coming soon!

I'll be at the Duncan Farmer's Market on Dec. 3, 17, and 24 from 10am to 2pm to sell and sign paperback copies. Too bad I can't sign ebooks!

To Market to Market

So I"m off to the Cedar Market  tomorrow. I'll sit at my table with my books around me handing out bookmarks and fridge magnets. The magnets are new and I'm giving one away with each book purchase.

It may seem boring sitting there for four or five hours, and the first couple times I tried it, it was. Not so much anymore. I'm getting to know people, particularity the regulars, the wonderful bunch of people who bring their fruits and veggies, crafts and yummy food to sell. Just as in...

Changes

I've had some requests from readers regarding additions to the website. Some people like to read a little of a novel before they buy it, so I've posted Chapter One to The Jada-Drau page.

Others are having trouble pronouncing some of the names in the story. I've added a new page for that list so The Jada-Drau page isn't cluttered too much. Some of the names I thought were obvious, but I've lived with them in my head for so long I could just be used to them. Let me kno...

'Gun on the Mantle'

Posted by Sandie on August 16, 2011 at 12:45 AM Comments comments (1)

Strange things come into my mind on the nights I have trouble sleeping. Usually they revolve around the books I'm writing or am planning to write. Not last night. For some reason I coudn't stop thinking about the writing 'rule' that says 'If you show a gun on the mantle at the beginning of the story, you'd better use it by the end'.

First of all, I say 'rule' because thier are no rules in writing, just guidelines. Any of these guidelines can be broken as long as it's done right. I'm not...

My New Site!

Posted by Sandie on August 4, 2011 at 9:30 PM Comments comments (2)

Here it is....my first website. It wasn't as hard to build as I thought. I used Webs.com and my sister-in-law's help. Without her I'd still be floundering around. This is also my very first blog. I never know what to say on these things, so bear with me while I find my proverbial tongue, and my gumption.

I'm not the sort of person who's good at marketing themselves. I tend to stay at home and write, so baring my soul doesn't come naturally, nor does pushing my stories. I have to say, th...
